List of Built-up Areas in GB

In the UK, Built-up Areas (BUAs) are regions defined by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) that represent continuous urban development with a minimum area of 20 hectares (0.2 km²). These areas include clusters of buildings where the gaps between them are less than 200 metres, such as towns, cities, and large villages. BUAs are used for statistical purposes to measure population and urbanisation, distinguishing genuinely urban spaces from surrounding rural land.
